Jey Uso has jokingly told talkSPORT he will be having a chat with Cody Rhodes having not received a luxury Rolex after WrestleMania XL.

WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Rhodes splashed out on engraved watches for his 'Mania 40 rivals and tag-team partners.

The American Nightmare surprised Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins with the designer item.

The quartet headlined night one of Mania XL, which saw the Bloodline prevail after the returning 'Final Boss' pinned Rhodes.

All four were then involved in the main event of night two the next day alongside the Usos' in which Rhodes became champion.

However, 'Main Event' Jey was a surprising snub from his former partner's list of worthy recipients.

The pair allied against the Bloodline in November, and even became brief Undisputed WWE Tag Team champions together, with Rhodes hailing Jey as a 'superb teammate.'

But when asked if he was rewarded for his efforts during an exclusive interview with talkSPORT on Friday, Jey exclaimed: "Hell no I ain't get no watch, man.

"Oh, I guess I ain't that much a superb teammate."

"Oh don't worry I'm gonna talk to him when I see him tonight, 'hey what time is it?'"

After hearing Rhodes had splashed out on custom-made, matching Rolex watches that had the number '40' engraved on them, Jey laughingly added: "Thanks for telling me!"

Watches are particularly significant for Rhodes, who found himself gifted a gold Rolex by Triple H, Nick Khan, and Bruce Prichard.

The Georgia-born grappler previously revealed his father, the late icon Dusty Rhodes, had promised him his Rolex should he ever win the WWE World Title.

Upon Dusty's 2015 passing, Rhodes discovered the watch had been pawned to pay for him and his sister Teil to go to acting school.

Years later on night two of WrestleMania, Rhodes finally completed his story by capturing the Undisputed WWE Universal title.

Having come back through the curtain with the belt, the former AEW star was gifted with the same model Rolex his father had.

Triple H later explained: "We wanted to do something special for him, it's a special night for him.

"Bruce was very close with Dusty, I was very close with Dusty, so I know what this means to Cody, I know what this business means to him…It was Nick's idea. Nick had this amazing idea, and I'm just along for the ride a little bit. Nick's idea, I thought it was great.

"Bruce went and super sleuthed down this watch that was the exact same watch that Dusty had to present to Cody, and we wanted to give him something that in some way commemorated his dad being here when this happened, because he was."
